Hi, we're Sam and Ollie!

We're the Stafford-based photographers behind First Look, as well as the owners of SO Visual, our commercial photography and video production company that we've had since 2012.

We started First Look in 2019 because we wanted to offer couples a modern, high-quality wedding photography service that focuses on what really matters, capturing the atmosphere, the genuine moments and everything that makes your day yours, without getting in the way. We believe great wedding photography doesn't have to be overcomplicated or overpriced, and we genuinely love photographing weddings, so for us it never feels like work.

Our approach is simple. Aside from taking 20–30 minutes for some relaxed couple portraits around your venue, you'll barely notice we're there. We blend into the background, capturing the day as it naturally unfolds. It's something we're often complimented on, and it means you can spend your wedding enjoying every moment, knowing it's all being documented without constant posing or interruptions.

Having two photographers means nothing gets missed. From different angles during the ceremony to reactions you might never have seen, we're able to tell the full story of your day. It also makes organising those lively group shots a whole lot easier once the celebrations are in full swing!
